Many interactive graphics visualization applications require the use of multiple systems to drive multiple displays or projectors. These systems treat the displays as a "virtual canvas" that behaves like one large display. Until the PNY NVIDIA Quadro FX 4400G the challenge of providing multiple views of the same large dataset in real-time with minimum latency has only been addressed by expensive and proprietary system clusters.

In addition, other applications for video and post-production require the ability to synchronize graphics with other input streams and recording devices for video effects, editing and compositing.

The PNY NVIDIA Quadro FX 4400G PCIE graphics solution unleashes these capabilities - called "genlock," "frame lock," or "frame sync" - that have traditionally only been available on expensive, proprietary hardware platforms. Furthermore, the FX 4400G solution introduces revolutionary capabilities that have never been available in these proprietary platforms, including programmable shading, high-precision graphics computation, and significantly increased graphics performance.

The PNY NVIDIA Quadro FX 4400G PCI-E teams all of the features and functionality of the FX 4400 with the addition of two breakthrough features: frame lock and genlock. Both features allow the video output from multiple PNY NVIDIA Quadro FX 4400G PCI-E boards to be synchronized with external devices, but each feature enables a distinctly different solution.

A How To set up Dual Monitors for PNY Nvidia Quadro FX 4500G Retail

You need to make sure you have both monitors connected to your computer and powered-up before attempting to setup nView.

Here are the steps to configure multiple displays with your PNY Nvidia Quadro FX 4500G Retail video card.

1. Right click on the desktop and select "Properties"
2. In the Display Properties control panel click the "Settings" tab.
3. On the bottom right corner of the window click "Advanced...".
4. In the Advanced window click the GeForce tab.
5. Click the "nView Display Modes" option.
6. You must now choose what mode you would like to setup:
7. Clone will mirror your primary display to your secondary display: This setting is good for use with a projector.
8. Horizontal Span/Vertical Span: This will stretch your display across both displays horizontally or vertically depending on what option you select.
9. Once you have selected the option you would like to use, click "Apply".
10. Windows will now ask you if you would like to keep these new settings, if you do not click "Yes" within 10 seconds the displays will default back to single monitor and you must repeat the above steps.
