PNY NVIDIA Quadro® FX 5500G PCIE is an ideal solution for applications requiring unprecedented levels of immersive realism or interactive visualization that utilize Frame Lock or Genlock functionality to choreograph multi-device film and video environments, or visualization clusters for effects rendering, scientific, or engineering use.

Frame Lock synchronizes the display channels from multiple workstations, creating a single "virtual display," that can be driven by a multi-system cluster for performance scalability. Genlock (also known as "house sync") allows graphics output to be synchronized to an external source, typically for film and broadcast video applications.

Along with Frame Lock and Genlock functionality the PNY NVIDIA Quadro FX 5500G PCIE features a revolutionary new architecture with 2x the geometry and fill rate and 4x the hardware pixel read-back performance of previous generation products. It supports 1024MB of GDDR2 frame buffer memory, and rotated grid full scene antialiasing (RG FSAA) for increased color accuracy and visual quality of edges and lines without compromising performance. A companion G-Sync Board connects to the FX 5500 and provides a BNC house sync (analog or digital) connector along with two RJ45 Frame Lock sync connectors (using CAT5 straight-through cable).

A How To set up Dual Monitors for PNY Nvidia Quadro FX 5500G PCIE 1GB

You need to make sure you have both monitors connected to your computer and powered-up before attempting to setup nView.

Here are the steps to configure multiple displays with your Nvidia Quadro FX 5500G PCIE 1GB video card.

1. Right click on the desktop and select "Properties"
2. In the Display Properties control panel click the "Settings" tab.
3. On the bottom right corner of the window click "Advanced...".
4. In the Advanced window click the GeForce tab.
5. Click the "nView Display Modes" option.
6. You must now choose what mode you would like to setup:
7. Clone will mirror your primary display to your secondary display: This setting is good for use with a projector.
8. Horizontal Span/Vertical Span: This will stretch your display across both displays horizontally or vertically depending on what option you select.
9. Once you have selected the option you would like to use, click "Apply".
10. Windows will now ask you if you would like to keep these new settings, if you do not click "Yes" within 10 seconds the displays will default back to single monitor and you must repeat the above steps.
